Organisational structure of the WSP municipal undertaking

 

The municipal undertaking the "Wirtschaft und Stadtmarketing Pforzheim" (WSP) was founded 1st January, 2007. The WSP, a service organisation dedicated to the economic development and marketing of the city of Pforzheim, consists of business divisions for economic development, tourism marketing, city marketing, halls and trade fairs, municipal statistics, and creative economy.


The top priority of the WSP is to strengthen the control of economic development and to push marketing activities in the areas of tourism, city marketing and marketing of the city as a business location. The municipal statistics office supplements the work of the WSP with the necessary data. A co-ordinated and selective overall control of the divisions is just as important as the involvement of local politicians and the business community in the decision-making process. Aspects of the city development, including image building and the initiation of strategic decision processes for economic development, trade and commerce, and tourism, represent important secondary targets. Cultural marketing campaigns are used to strengthen the positioning of the cultural activities of Pforzheim. The involvement of the Pforzheim Congress Centrum in the organisation structures of the WSP guarantees efficient interaction and networking of all marketing and event activities.
