WSP city marketing projects

The following pages contain detailed information on projects organised by the WSP city marketing division.

Many of the events organised in Pforzheim have already developed into brand events also known outside the immediate region of Pforzheim. Some examples are the "International German Cup" for hot-air balloons, the "Oechsle Fest" wine festival  and theme-oriented Sunday shopping days such as the "Pforzheimer Wirtschaftswunder" (post-war economic miracle).

Another important event for the area is the annual city Christmas promotion campaign which was awarded 1st city marketing prize for Baden-Württemberg in 2007. The crucial factor for the jury was that this promotion campaign succeeded in realising, visualising and bringing to life the Goldstadt image.

Furthermore, the WSP city marketing is involved in various projects to increase the attractiveness of the Pforzheim city centre. There are projects for "Cleanness & safety", "The creation of more greenery", "City centre objects", etc. where the marketing of the city of Pforzheim as a friendly place for children and families has top priority.

A number of projects have also been realised in co-operation with the University of Pforzheim and the cultural institutions of Pforzheim (office for cultural matters, city theatre, jewellery museum, etc.).
