Generation of statistics for the city

Municipal statistics provide information on the development of key factors in the city such as the economy, population, labour market, social aspects, rents, etc.. Statistics are gained through the evaluation of administrative lists or through empirical data (surveys) and then prepared by the municipal statistics office with comments. In this process special care is taken to observe the federal and regional German data protection laws and laws governing official statistics.

Regular publications include:  

• Statistical yearbook for the city of Pforzheim
• Pforzheim population (annually)
• Statistical half-year report (twice per year)
• Rent index for the city of Pforzheim (annually)
• Election analysis for local, regional, federal and European elections

Furthermore, the municipal statistics office produces forecasts for the population of the city of Pforzheim and citizen surveys.  

The municipal statistics office is therefore a service provider within the city administration which also provides private and company users with statistical data and analysis on a wide range of information.
