Integrated into the Black Forest, surrounded by Kraichgau and Stromberg, lies Pforzheim, the "City of Gold".

In museums and other cultural institutions, visitors can experience the jewellery and watch city up close, for example in the Jewellery Museum Pforzheim in the Reuchlinhaus with its unique collection of originals from five millennia. In the SCHMUCKWELTEN Pforzheim, the unique European experience and shopping centre on more than 4,000 square metres, you will be sent on a journey through real and virtual worlds of experience around the subject of jewellery and watches. The traditional production of jewellery and watches is presented in the Technical Museum lively and entertaining.

Visitors can discover details of history in the town museum, in the St. Michael Castle and Collegiate Church and in the Kappelhof archaeological site.

Art and culture enthusiasts are by no means neglected: The CongressCentrum Pforzheim, the Theater Pforzheim or the Culture House Osterfeld offer a wide range of products. In the historical Gasometer the 360° panorama "GREAT BARRIER RIEF" by the artist Yadegar Asisi can be viewed. The unique underwater world of the reef can be seen in all its fragile beauty and complexity on an area of over 3,500m².

Away from everything urban, Pforzheim as a nearby "gate" to the idyllic Black Forest invites you to hike and cycle. In the middle of a gentle hilly landscape, there are countless easy to difficult tours. The best known of these are the West-, Ost- and Mittelweg.
